VIDEO CONTEST 2012!
Video Contest 2012 was another huge success! This years theme was "RIVER TIME" and everyone who submitted a video did a great job capturing the theme on film and in their edits.

Honorable Mentions

Best R2 Adventure: (and best getting worked in a hole)

This was a great chronological film of the Chehalis River, WA. Things get a little, ah...stikey around 2:26. Sometimes the best way to spend your river time is with your best friend on a chilly spring river:

Holy Huck!: (and best save)

To some people, rafting is at its best when the drops are big and the water is technical. Here is a great compilation of class V rivers, check out the save at 1:37!

Best River Time Chillin': (and best use of one of our not so common crafts)

The Rio Chama, the family, camping gear and an AIRE traveler, what more do you need for some quality, relaxing river time?

Best use of all watercraft: (and best all around good river vib)
Paddle Raft, IK, Row...it is all good river time for the Gardiner Family. This video really makes me want to get out on the water!

TOP 3

Runner Up #2:
We had to give this video mad props for 7 years worth of footage on the desert rivers of SW Idaho. Now that is some river time! this Video had great use of AIRE rafts and kayaks and some sweet rowing skills. Wildlife, desert canyons, big rapids, crazy weather and a class V shuttle...nice work!

(Note: Back in the rules of the contest, we stated that guides could summit videos, and this year, they submitted some great ones. We love all Outfitters. Yes the next 2 video have a little bit of outfitter boats / outfitter pride in them...AIRE does not promote one Outfitter over another, we just thought these guides put togeather great videos for our contest)

Runner Up #1:
Comming at you from the Ocoee River! Runner Up number 1 show what his river time is all about. Surfing an old school AIRE force, front flips on guide launcher holes having a good time running rivers. This video had great use of POV camera angles and good distance shots. Weather you are a guide who get on the river all summer long or pay a professional, it is all good times on the river!

Grand Prize Winner:
River Time...sometimes the lines aren't prefect, but sometimes you stomp it! Sometimes your on the river to "work" sometimes you are on the river to play. Tyler Soule, great job on your winning Video!
