I have had my 143 for almost 9 years now. From day trips on the Ark to multi day trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon the boat has been great. I look forward to our next 20 years together.

Our 143D is primarily a fishing boat. We considered the Puma series for manueverability, but wanted interior equivalent to a drift boat. The 143D was the right fit. It's a perfect daytrip for 3 fisherman or 2 fisherman on an overnighter with lots of gear (3 people if they aren't fishing). It rows well and we can take it on rivers where we wouldn't dare take a drift boat. We can also roll it up for the winter and throw it in the corner of the garage. This is a BIG advantage over a drift boat which would otherwise occupy an entire garage bay all year long. We got the AIRE fishing frame with some modifications. Great boat--gets borrowed by friends a lot.
