I use the AIRE 143E as the foundation of my new guiding raft. With the addition of a custom frame and floor this is the sweetest flyfishing craft on the water. This is my second AIRE Raft. My Super Puma lasted me 11 years of dragging through low, rocky water and up nasty banks and is still in great shape. For durability you cannot beat AIRE!

‘E’ stands for the elliptical shape of this series. The rafts feature a high-rising pointed bow and a squared stern that makes a nice platform for the paddle captain. Our E Series rafts rise 2 inches higher in the bow than our R series. They also have a slightly narrower beam and smaller diamtere tubes, allowing the boats to ride high on the crest of waves for maximum thrills and maneuverability. The E series is a favorite choice of outfitters on narrow, rocky and technical rivers such as the Ocoee, Gauley and New.
The 143 E is for you if:
- - You mostly run rivers with a paddle crew, R4-R7
- - You are want to run some technical Class IV-V Rivers
- - You like "squared" back for paddle guiding.
