We did a 21 day Deso to Cataract Canyon trip on the 183R in September. It performed flawlessly! It heads down the GC in July of 09.

Boat Outfitting
The straight sections of the R Series boats now feature 43-ounce chafe strips for greater durability. R stands for round - the traditional round boat design. With their broader beams, larger tube diameters and longer waterlines, these are the most stable of all AIRE rafts. The 183R is the biggest raft we offer so go ahead and bring the kitchen sink, you'll have room. This size is recommended for Grand Canyon like expeditions and hauling a big pile of gear.

The 183 R is for you if:
- - You are one those rafters who some how manages multiple Grand Canyon trips in a life time.
- - You need a stable raft for family expeditions
- - Your style of rafting requires oars, really long oars.
For extra durability this model is available constructed with Urethane fabric. Please call for pricing.
