The Ocelot is the best boat design going on. We have had ours for 14 years now and it is in great shape. It is bombproof! I have run class 5 and many class 4 whitewater drops and have never, ever, rolled it up side down. This is a good feeling. It punches big waves like a dream and is fun to surf. The Ocelot is perfect for day runs for one or two and can load up fairly well on week long trips down the Salmon River carrying two as well. Don't ever take my Ocelot away!

The Ocelot is an awesome boat. I took mine down the Grand at 18,000 cfs and had an outstanding time. The boat is extremely agile and when coupled with 9.5' oars able to move quickly and precisely. Running big water requires speed and maneuverablity, the Ocelot has that and more. When properly loaded & balanced, the MOST important aspect of cat rigging, it turns on a dime. Big waves, dig in get your momentum and hit it bow first!

The Ocelot is the happy median between the play boat performance of the 13' Wildcat and the load capacity of the larger, 16' Jaguarundi. It's perfect for two people on a day trip or light overnighter. With my frame, I'm able to row from the front or back position--back for fishing and front for whitewater.
With one or two people and case of beer, this boat rows beautifully. As you add another person or piles of gear, its performance suffers--especially if the load isn't balanced correctly. If you want to carry more than 3 people or go on an extended trip with two people and gear, you'll want to move up to the 16' Jag. If you don't need that capacity, this is a terrific boat.
