The Outfitter I is a great boat. I took one down the Grand Canyon in 2009 and ran everything big. It is responsive, easy to put where you want to go and stable. For advanced boating thigh straps and foot pegs are a must. I also purchased the thwart seat, you can sit on top of it when paddling flat water. The rocker bottom makes for the responsiveness of the boat but also makes self rescue a little more tricky when getting back in the boat. I also have a Hyside extreme and took it down the Grand Canyon in 2007, though it is a little more stable and easier to self rescue with, I prefer the Outfitter for its handling characteristics. Great boat the Outfitter I, I run class 4 and have taken it over 35 foot waterfalls. Buy one and go big.
