I use my scout mainly for stillwater fishing in the Cascades. It is stable but easily maneuverable even in wind and chop. Still going strong after five years.

Bought used to float small to large rivers in e. and w. washington. At 70+ years young am able to handle by myself for float the Cedar and Yakima rivers in Wa. Had a Small puncture leak in bottom bladder and factory sent a complete new bladder for free, even though I am not original owner! It was 4 yrs 9 months old.

I’ve owned this boat for almost a year. It’s perfect blend of raft/float has been with me in so many places and countless days across BC. From stillwaters big and small, to rivers with moderate comfortable drifts to in and around coves and islands on calm/ish ocean waters surrounding Vancouver Island. Its inflated size comfortably fits into the back of a pick up or roof top. It can be quickly deflated and folded up in about a minute, and packed in any vehicle With a high power electric pump it inflates quicker than you can get the rest of your equipment ready, you know like putting the rods together, grabbing the sonar and the anchor. The cargo area behind the seat securely (with common sense) stores and keeps things dry and convenient. The thick gage zippers on the moveable/removable cargo pack thus far have no issues. I like the packs’ dual compartment design which allows for easy separation and organization of all those little things us fisherman need to have on hand just in case..
One note of caution…
Do be careful with the loops where the foot bar attaches to, as the choice of material doesn’t like it if you only put the bar through one loop (there’s two on each side). It can be difficult to get all the loops however take the time and you should never have a problem.
That said..
I’ve used many inflatables over my 20 yr guiding career and to summarize…
I love this boat!!
I hope that helps.
Cheers.

This Scout is the answer to what I need to fish stillwater. Takes about 6-8 minutes to fully inflate from being shoved in my SUV, throw on the net, oars and anchor and head out. With good fins (I prefer the dive fins) it is easy to fish with and get around and if the wind comes up and there’s a need to get somewhere several minutes on the oars and you’re there. Keeps your bottom out of the water but you’re not up so high as to catch wind as a framed pontoon does. If you get one of these pick up the accessory for anchor off the bow it works perfectly. Great product.
