have both the Outcast Stealth Pro* and Fish Cat Scout, this upcoming summer will be my 3rd season using the frameless pontoons. They have been dragged over gravel, flown around camp in the Wyoming wind, rowed through sharp underbrush, and launched off of vehicles. Both have around 200 river hours and so far not 1 leak, no tears, no issues with oars or oar mounts breaking, and the zippers are still working well. I have used these on multi day fly fishing trips down the Flaming Gorge A & B sections with 30+ lbs of gear, including Red Creek Rapids. This last summer we took both boats on an overnight down the Black Canyon section of the Gunnison Gorge that included over a dozen class III and a couple class IV rapids, once again with 30+ lbs of gear.** I have mixed feelings regarding the oar set-up. I like how the oars fold over and stow when not in use, but the set up doesn’t allow any sort of upgrade. I would like to have the option of an upgraded oar that would work with the current oar lock or an adapter that would allow a standard oar lock. * I usually use the Stealth Pro; 6’3″ 190lbs **I don’t believe that they were designed for white water so probably not the best idea.

I’ve had my Stealth Pro for 2.5 years. I average 40 days on the water each year. This boat is amazing! I have it rigged with an electric motor and fish finder. I’ve taken advantage of the Scotty mounts for rod holders and my anchor. I find the seat comfortable and like how it keeps your butt out of the water. I fish lakes exclusively. The SP is a very stable platform. I’ve had it on water in strong winds and never felt at risk. The oars are short but are surprisingly efficient. My wife can row her SP at 2.1-2.2 mph. (Yes, she can row fast!) The foot bar is strong and offers 2 positions to accommodate your leg length. There is a lot of storage area behind the seat. I carry my battery, a waterproof bag and a small cooler there. The stripping basket is huge. The are 4 “legs” that insert in pockets. This allows adjustability. The front of the stripping basket I have is prone to sagging. I bought an aluminum strip from Home Depot, cut it to size and inserted along the length of the front – no sagging! The boat is tough and the components are well-designed and well built. The SP can be deflated and easily transported in a car. Inflation is simple – I open valve and do primary inflation with a high speed air pump. When seat/Boat are full, I pull the pump and close the valve. I top the chambers off with a K-pump. I think 2 of the most important features are weight and Outcast’s customer service. The boat weighs 35 lbs. and is easy to carry. We got these boats to replace our 85 lbs. framed pontoon boats that were too heavy for old people. Outcast’s customer service is excellent. It is easy to get a person on the phone and work through any issues you have. I would highly recommend this boat!
